Review

The Forbidden made me question my conscience and beliefs.  Annie Ryan broke down my barriers and I was with her every step of this journey.  The story was told with all the ugly truths and it is not all hearts and roses.

Annie Ryan’s personality shone through in Drew’s Story in All I Am so I was looking forward to seeing her again.

First of all, Jack & Annie’s meeting in the bar, those first few chapters just sucked me in.  I was with them for the long haul and how could they turn away?  As Jack attends the house warming party I was blindsided by the revelations and I felt physically ill.

How can this author make me love Jack Joseph? On reflection, she made him human and not afraid to wear his emotions.  We simply do not know what goes on behind closed doors.

There is plenty of drama, Annie’s friend’s reactions are true and reflective of society and so they should be.  This is one topic I really struggle with but I found myself wanting to get to the end with Annie & Jack.

I loved the way the Author gave closure to all the characters, it left me totally satisfied.  The concluding few chapters were honest and my soul was fed like Annie’s was at her parents.

Quote:  Are we supposed to let that person pass on by, turn away from someone who finds your soul and kisses it?
