(M/F/M/M/M Ménage, consensual BDSM, bondage, spanking, HEA, There is no touching or titillation between siblings.)

My Review

This was erotic, passionate and had great moments of humour. From the first chapter we  straight away meet these hot cowboys and immediately feel the physical attraction.  It did not feel rushed and I easily followed the characters long held small town connections and the four brothers were easily identified with their own personalities and sexual traits.

Now we are talking about four good looking cowboys and one girl who they have held secret attraction to and can I say my god the kitchen table scene – H.O.T.

I really enjoyed this story as now and then I move into Menage Romance for the whole escapism of intense passionate physical and emotional love.  We are also introduced to other characters who upon checking make up the next two books.  I am dying to read book 2 as I really loved Zoey who was Rachel’s friend.

Another point in this story was when Rachel needed to process and find herself after her Weekend Surrender, the feelings and emotions portrayed on the pages really helped me connect with the characters and follow their ultimate HEA and really appreciated a snapshot of how they were going later on.

Great Menage Romance that will definitely make you all hot and bothered.

All Fired Up (DreamMakers # 1)

By Vivian Arend & Elle Kennedy

BR All Fired Up

Synopsis

He’s ready to lead the way

As the owner of DreamMakers Inc., Parker Wilson takes the skills he learned as a Ranger to help men win in the love department, using every resource available to plan the perfect date. But when a routine recon turns into an unexpected night of fiery passion, Parker’s mission becomes personal—and he won’t give up until Lynn Davidson is all his.

She’s more than willing to follow

Lynn is a goner from the moment she lays eyes on the delectable Parker. She’s tired of sticking to the straight and narrow. It’s time to walk on the wild side, and what better way than in the arms of the most irresistible man she’s ever met? But when their red-hot affair is threatened, it’ll take a team effort to make their dreams come true.

Review

After leaving the Rangers, Parker and two of his fellow Special Ops soldiers created DreamMakers, a company designed to help clueless men plan the most romantic dates that said clueless men aren’t able to conceive of on their own.  Forgot your wife’s birthday?  Fiancé thinks you don’t have a romantic bone in your body?  Turn to DreamMakers.  They’ll use their recon skills to create the perfect date for your perfect lady.

But when douchebag Phil enters their office wanting to hire them for his planned proposal to his girlfriend, Lynn, they sense that something’s not right.  And when Parker starts tailing Lynn, he questions how any woman could be with a guy like Phil.  When he finds out from Lynn’s own mouth that’s she’s newly single, the job is called off and Parker wastes no time making his move.  But when Phil becomes desperate and learns the truth about who Lynn is now dating, it’s up to the DreamMakers to use their recon skills for more than just planning the perfect date.

I’m not really a fan of books written by more than one author, but I’ve read books from both these authors before so I thought I’d give ALL FIRED UP a try.  Being free didn’t hurt either.  The biggest letdown in this book?  The threesome between Parker, Lynn and Dean.  I would barely call that scene a threesome.  It started out hot and with so much promise, but then it’s like the authors changed their mind and backed off at the last minute.  Talk about anti-climatic.  I’ve read threesomes written by both these authors before and those scenes were scorching hot.  Panty melting hot.  So to say I was quite let down with this one is an understatement.

I thought the characters meshed well and I loved the banter between Parker, Dean and Jack.  I loved Dean and Suz (Lynn’s best friend), who are so alike it’s scary.  There are POVs from both Parker and Lynn, as well as a couple from some of the other characters.  They were just little ones, but it was nice to get a small glimpse of what they were thinking.  Overall I thought the story was a little cheesy and obvious, but it was fun to read and it came with a HEA, so I was happy.

DreamMakers Series

Undesired Lust (Reckless Beat # 3)

By Eden Summers

BR Undesired List

Synopsis

They used to be the perfect team.

Two years ago, songstress Sidney Higgins ruined her life by sleeping with not one, but two of the famous Reckless Beat men, Mason Lynch and Sean Taiden. Their night of intimate celebration turned into a worldwide sensation when the video Mason vowed to keep private was uploaded to the internet, destroying her squeaky-clean reputation and turning the world against her. Now she’s broken and left without hope, trying to find the one thing that can get her back on her feet.

A mistake neither one of them is willing to forgive.

When the sex tape went viral and his best friends held him accountable, Mason bore the stigma of asshole with pride. Now, bitterness has destroyed him, driving away his muse and making him worthless in the industry he loves. There’s only one option left to reclaim his creativity, but that would mean collaborating with a woman who wants to castrate him with a plastic knife.

A palpable chemistry even hate can’t diminish.

Forced to work together, neither one of them is prepared for the undesired lust which immediately takes hold. The lies fade away, exposing the truth; however, it also awakens a threat from their past. The person responsible for tearing them apart is back to ensure they don’t rekindle a spark. With their safety in the balance, Sidney and Mason need to determine what they’re willing to risk to reclaim a relationship they wish they’d never lost.

Review

Sidney’s career was about to hit the big time.  She’d successfully collaborated with rockstars, she’d just won her first Grammy and she had a contract offer from a music label.  Life was good, until she celebrated with a threesome involving Mason and Sean, which Mason filmed and later ended up all over social media.  She lost everything; her contract, her clients, her family and her friends.  All gone with a push of a button.  Two years later, still carrying the stigma of being “that” girl, she’s truly reached rock bottom.  Until a phone call from an old acquaintance gives her hope, hope in the form of Mason Lynch, the man she blames for ruining her career, her life, her everything.  But desperate times call for desperate measures, leaving her with no choice but to take the offer.  Collaborating with the man who betrayed her trust will be a true test of her strength and patience.

It won’t be a walk in the park for Mason either, tired of carrying the blame for something he didn’t do.  When the truth is finally revealed, a new problem arises when the person who is really at fault comes back to torment them both.

I felt for both Sidney and Mason in this mess.  Sidney, for having her life ruined just because she had fun, and Mason, for losing faith in his friends after they assumed the worst of him.  That lack of faith and support turned him bitter, and I’m not surprised one bit that his attitude got worse over the years.  I was surprised that Sean never apologised to Mason for assuming the worst, for never asking him if he did it.  In fact, it was Mason who had to apologise to Sean for keeping the truth a secret.  For some reason, this really bugs me.  Really really bugs me.

After finishing UNDESIRED LUST, my first thought was that it seemed darker than the previous ones in the series.  On second thought, I’m thinking that it wasn’t darker, but it didn’t have as much humour in it that the previous books did.  Not that the others are full on comedies, but when the story needs to lighten up a little, the humour appears at the perfect time.  There was some of that in this book, but perhaps not as much as the previous books.  I thought Mason’s mother was hilarious and I would have loved to have seen a bit more of her.

Mason:  “I think sometimes you forget I’m a grown man and have been for some time.”
Mrs Lynch:  “I think sometimes you forget I spent ten hours in labor pushing your fat head out of my vagina.  You will always be my baby.”

Reckless Beat Series

A Million Tiny Pieces

By Nicole Edwards

milliontinypieces

Synopsis

My Review

A Million Tiny Pieces is erotic, exciting, enticing, emotional and will make you so hot, horny and no joke tingle in all the right places.  This is an erotic ménage story but it is also about finding love and your place in life for three different individuals who are Mia, Phoenix and Tarik.

Tarik is hot and so god dam forceful the freak owns the room wherever he is, he is a bodyguard and he will make your toes curl (he was my favourite male).  Phoenix the other male character likes control and is fighting his urges and Mia is how can I say it, the meat between the stud sandwich and looking to put her heart and life back together after a marriage breakdown.

I actually have not read a Menage romance in a long time and really forgot how much I love them, obviously told the right way and Ms Edwards does not disappoint.   Give me a woman inbetween two men anyday and shit I get all hot and horny and need my husband to take the edge off. So image my surprise when there are a few M/M scenes and well Ms Edwards knows how to write them as I found myself reading them and not skimming as I sometimes do.  She put so much emotion into the scenes I found myself savouring each and every scene, word and sentence of an erotic encounter whether it was M/F/M, M/M or M/F.

The overlaying story regarding Mia’s ex-husband gives us suspense and mystery.  There is a great ensemble cast of characters including friends and family members that give the book soul and I would read this book again and again.

If you have not read a ménage this one is a perfect start – take the plunge you will not be disappointed.
