My Review

I know this is so wrong but the whole idea of this series makes me a little hot under the collar and it simply feels right in a dirty kind of way? Yes I am upset with the fact she will more than likely die at the final debt – or perhaps not – how twisted will this love affair turn out?

The book starts off right where Book 1 ended – thank god – when she decided to run at the end of the last book my heart went with her. I knew deep down she would not make it to freedom in book 2.

The First Debt repayment was pretty brutal in the whipping scene but as always ended up erotic and Jet played out his compassionate aftercare that in the end made you forgive him.

So I am getting the idea of this series, each book will detail the level of debt repayment by Nila (Weaver) to Jet (eldest son of the Hawks). We also learnt more history and thanks to Kestrel (Middle son) they also deal in smuggling diamonds.

The writing is really emotional and erotic and the two main characters personal struggles are entrapping to the reader. I am also enjoying the third wheel love involvement of Kestrel – I always love when there is more than two.

As usual at the end of the book there was a revelation and I was so not prepared for in relation to Kite007 – what a fantastic mind game for the reader. I had so many questions regarding Kite007 I went back through the book to see where I had missed the clues and now reading back it was all there in front of me but Pepper had so determinedly lead us like a lamb to the slaughter and towards another route I blindly followed her.

As with book 1, I mistakenly became attached to Jet throughout the book and then at the end once again hated him – he is a master manipulator – argh!!!

Where do the middle and youngest brothers all fit in, I honestly don’t know who is honestly good or bad now, I am emotionally lost. The physical connection between Jet and Nila seriously is so hot and dominating – brilliant!!

So now I am so lost – I simply love when my mind is twisted and tortured.

It only took me two days to read this – thank god it was the weekend.

Did it wet my personal appetite – hell yes!
