Review

THE MANE ATTRACTION starts where book 2 left off, with Smitty and Jessie Ann’s wedding. Sissy (wolf shifter and Smitty’s sister) and her good buddy Mitch (lion shifter and Brendon Shaw’s brother) are trying to have fun, despite Sissy trying to avoid her bitch of a mother, and Mitch being too busy thinking about the bounty on his head.

After an almost successful attempt on Mitch’s life has been made, Sissy decides to take him to where she thinks he’ll be most safe. Where does she take him? Back to a place she herself hates visiting, her childhood home in Smithtown. Once there Sissy has to face her older brother (who has plans to be the next alpha) without the protection of her pack or her father. She knows it’s going to be bad for her, but it’s the only place she feels Mitch will be safe.

Throw in a shifter only football game, a shifter only NASCAR type race, and a crazy car scene with Sissy and Ronnie Lee, and you’ve got yourself an action packed romance with some great sex. This book has everything really.

Two people more alike I don’t think you’ll ever meet. Both Mitch and Sissy are huge shit stirrers. They live for starting shit and watching the aftermath. But together, their attraction is hot, sweet and funny all rolled into one.

Mitch: “Can I ask you a strange question?”
Sissy: “No, I won’t have sex with you in my childhood bed.”
Mitch: “That’s not a problem. I’m more a take you up against the wall kind of guy anyway.”

I have read all 9 books in this series, and from memory this is by far the funniest. All the previous books were funny, but I feel that from here the ‘funny’ reaches a new level and stays there.
