Synopsis
They call him The Mute for a reason.
Hard, cold and calculated, he rarely speaks.
When he does, it’s with disdain.
When he does, his words aren’t meant for me.
When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.
He is thirty-three.
I am eighteen.
He’s a single dad and my father’s business partner.
I’m just a kid to him and his enemy’s daughter.
He’s emotionally unavailable.
And I am…feeling. Feeling things I shouldn’t feel for him.
Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn’t just on the wall, it’s inked on my soul.
And yet, I can’t stay away.
A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we’re going to give them.
And oh, what beautiful chaos it will be.
Review
Scandalous again proves the Hotholes are one dynamic tribe of men hell-bent on supporting each other – they are family.
Surprising me were the many twists in this story and I did not guess any of them. Perfectly planned plots will have your second guessing characters and motives. Many times I put the book down and had to take a moment as I was petrified for Edie.
Edie was a simply stunning character, her strength, and resilience. Her father was a major manipulator and his evilness knew no bounds.
Many times I had to put the book down and take a moment as I was petrified for Edie. At times I truly felt such deep despair for her and such hatred for the adults in her life.
Edie and Trent’s sex scenes were off the charts hot. They offered different levels of emotional connection between them.
Trent’s daughter Luna was a beautiful character and I saw hope for Edie.
Scandalous again proved that the Hotholes are a united front and I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series.
