Review

When Tyla receives an alarming call from a family member, she sets off to investigate and is reluctantly paired with Sebastian, who is a royal shifter and her true mate. Every man that Tyla has fallen in love with has died, so she rejected Sebastian out of fear that she’d lose him too. Initially unsure of his own feelings, Sebastian made a mistake when he started flirting with other women, and it’s a mistake that’s costing him dearly every day that Tyla refuses to mate with him. And not being mated is a big problem for Tyla when they are captured by an enemy pack.

I did enjoy this book, but not as much as I enjoyed the first book. The mystery portion of the story was pretty good, but there were a couple of holes in it that bothered me a little. Be warned, there is a torture scene that might be hard for some people to take. RESISTING THE MOON is told in dual POVs and while it’s part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone, although to get an idea of who everyone is, I’d recommend reading TURN OF THE MOON first. Tyla also appears in ROPED IN from the Armed & Dangerous series, but you don’t need to read that book for any important information. Apparently it’s just something fun and quirky L.P. Dover likes doing with her characters.
