My Review

Firstly you must read this series in order.

Deliah was one character I was not sure of but knew I had to read her journey before I got to Maddie and Flame’s budding connection – Flame just intrigues me and Maddie is like a broken bird waiting to fly free.

Deliah was a really interesting character to watch grow into a woman who wants love along with her faith but to be free of her beauty. She out of all three girls definitely has a spiritual belief that was really strong. She was probably was the most mind conditioned to the curse of her beauty.

Look there was only one thing that grated on my nerves in this story and that was the use of the term Bitch. I just don’t personally like it and whenever Ky referred to Deliah as that I hated it, she had been called names all her life and then to have him call her it just upset me.

Ky as a character is robust, headstrong, arrogant and all biker alpha male hence his use of calling all women bitches all the time. I probably felt more connection to Deliah than Ky in this story however when Ky showed his true determination in saving Deliah and showing her true beauty he broke down my barriers.

Deliah really goes through a transformation and I found the last quarter of the book incredibly thought provoking in the way the writer took her views of her beauty and how it transpired that path of her life and her faith. To say the way Deliah deals with her beauty is tragic, heart wrenching but showed an incredible strength that I never picked her for and what an amazing journey the writer took us on.

There are some particularly horrific physical scenes in Heart Recaptured that even had me taking deep breaths and praying for a miracle so you definitely need to be prepared for a heart racing finish to the love story that is Deliah and Ky.

I must add I appreciated that we learnt more of their life at the commune and more about Rider and where he disappeared to and what path he is being taken on.

At the end of this story I again pressed download to continue onto book 3 – Flame and Maddie will be the hardest story as I have a feeling these two broken souls will be the hardest story to bear.
