Synopsis
My name is Matthew Weston. Don’t call me anything else, because I won’t respond. And if you think you can get away with whimpering ‘Matt’ while I have you tied to the bed, about to devour you, it’ll end up being your loss.
Men like me don’t talk about feelings. We just don’t.
What men like me do is pound. I pound the asphalt with my running shoes on morning runs. I pound a punching bag in the gym until my knuckles bleed. And when I need a release, I find a beautiful woman sprawled out on her bed, eagerly waiting for my cock, and pound her into oblivion. Yeah, that’s me. I don’t have feelings, and I don’t do love.
At least I didn’t, until the night Ella walked into my office looking like a disgusting junkie to interview for a position for The Onyx Club.
She was like no one I’d ever met before. She was timid, reserved, and quite plain with her mousy brown hair and dirty clothes. Ella also had a dark and haunted gleam in her eye. A secret, a past she was desperate to conceal.
And when she called me ‘Matt’ it didn’t seem to bother me.
She came into my life and turned it upside down. The only question is, can I screw her out of my system, or will my filthy desire for her keep her by my side?
Review
When I first started reading FILTHY DESIRE I almost couldn’t see myself finishing it. Why? Because of Matt. Without a doubt he starts out as the worst male character I have ever read. He’s a prick and an arsehole, which is quite a feat when you think about it. He’s a 38 year old burlesque club owner who never sleeps with a woman older than 22 years of age. And when he first meets Ella, he’s absolutely horrible. Here is a young woman who clearly needs help, and while I understand he’s in a business where good looks are important, the way he speaks to Ella and the things he says to her and about her are truly disgusting.
So now that I got all that negativity out of the way, trust me when I say that once you get past the first few chapters and Matt’s ugly personality, you’ll really enjoy this book. Why? Because Matt gets better. Much better. After he gets to know more about Ella and her sickening past, he becomes a very likeable man. A hero even. Yes, you heard me right, a hero. Ella brings out his compassionate side and need to protect in a way that no other woman has before. He’s still rude, demanding and unwilling to compromise, but with Ella, some of the rough edges are smoothed out just a little.
Matt: I want to lick, taste, and devour her entire body. To show her what sex really is, how her body is meant to be pleasured, not tortured. It’s built to be fucked, not mistreated. It’s meant to be cherished, not ruined.
Now Ella I loved right from the start. She is broken and terribly scarred and scared, but you know she’s strong because after years of being used and abused, after enduring so much pain and with the threat of death, she still found the strength and courage to escape. She takes nothing for granted and has a truly beautiful soul. Thanks to Matt, she learns that not all men hurt women and that Matt can be trusted not to hurt her. She puts her faith in him and not once did he disappoint her. He shows her that when done right and handled with care, his domination and her submission is a beautiful and enjoyable thing.
Ella: “I love sunshine on my face. Reminds me I’ve lived through another day.”
I’ll admit, I was on the fence about whether to read FILTHY DESIRE or not. And I’ll be honest, it’s because it’s a debut erotic novel written by a man so I really wasn’t sure what to expect. But I’m really glad I read it and I would definitely read more from Sebastian Ex. So like I said before, keep reading through the first few chapters because it’s totally worth it when you get to the good stuff.
Please note, if you have issues with reading about rape and abuse, I would not recommend this book for you.
