Review
The idea of Bryce⎯a baseball player⎯having a secret fling with Rachel⎯the team’s sports reporter⎯was a good one, and I was hoping for an exciting read about two people breaking the rules and dealing with the consequences. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with EARNING A RING, which is a shame because I quite liked MAKING A COMEBACK, book 3 in the series. I felt no chemistry between Bryce and Rachel at all, and quite honestly, I can’t think of a single thing I liked about either of them. They spend most of the book questioning their decisions, doubting their relationship and changing their minds about what they want. When Bryce wants the relationship to work, Rachel is pulling away. When Rachel wants the relationship to work, Bryce is pulling away. It was just too much pushing and pulling for my liking.
