Author Interview
1 Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, hobbies, pets, etc).
I currently reside in NYC, finishing up my MFA degree and living the twenty-something life in the city with roommates in an over-priced shoebox apartment. I would love to get a dog but my landlord would probably have a stroke, but getting a pup is definitely a short-term goal of mine.
2 How did you get into writing and why romance?
I met Colleen Masters through friends at school and she told me about her books. I was extremely interested in the writing aspect but not so much the business-side of things. So sh
e essentially took me under her wing, and I get to write my heart out while she handles the drudgery of the business end.
3 Do you ever re-enact the sex scenes you write about?
Hell yes! I actually like to get a bit more dirty in my writing of sex scenes, but you know, who can tell what might happen after a bottle of wine (or two)?
4 Name a romance book or series you would love to see as a movie/TV Series.
I’m currently a HUGE fan of A Shade of Vampire series by Bella Forrest. As for stand-alone contemporary romance, I loved Nora Flite’s “The Bad Boy Arrangement” and her latest “Never Kiss a Badboy”, super hot premises and would love to see them come to life as a movie/TV mini-series.
5 Have you ever read a book based solely on its cover?
I’m a human, so absolutely. I think a great cover is an essential piece of the “good book” puzzle. What good is a book if no one picks it up in the first place?
6 What is your ideal way to end a long day?
Long, hot bath with two glasses of Menege Trois Red Wine. An episode of “The Knick”, “Game of Thrones”, “Blackish”, or “A Life in Pieces”, in that order. Read a chapter of a great story before bed.
7 Describe your ultimate holiday.
I’ve already had it: a cruise with my graduating class from college senior year. We took over Norwegian Cruise lines ship for the week of spring break and drank the ship dry. It was superb and too much fun. All inclusive, no flying (sailed out of NYC port), no driving, no worries.
8 Who is your favourite book boyfriend and why?
Horse from Joanna Wylde’s “Reaper’s Property”, because he scares me in a good way, but I’d never be able to handle a guy like that in real life…so he’s a great “book bf”.
9 What turns you on and what turns you off?
Sense of humor, neck/shoulder muscles, tattoos, big hands, and facial stubble turn me on. Money-waving, metro sexual dudes that care more about their appearance than me are a huge turn off.
