Synopsis
I think this woman may be the death of me. A dire prediction, but probably true.
Probably true because she’s not mine to have and I’ll probably take her, even at the risk to my own safety. So many men slobbering to get a taste of her and only one, sweet, virginal girl to go around.
That’s right.
She’s a virgin.
Looking like a porcelain china doll that would break if not handled carefully. But I also know she’s stronger than she looks.
She’s a contradiction.
She’s most likely my downfall.
Like I said, she’ll probably be the death of me, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Review
We’ve seen bits and pieces of Logan throughout the series, but apart from knowing that he’ll do anything when it comes to sex, we don’t know anything else about him. At the start of WICKED RIDE, we learn that he experienced something traumatic a couple of years ago; something so bad the pain of it can only be eased by having lots of kinky sex, and the kinkier the better. To him, women (and men) are simply a means to an end, until he spots Auralie at the Silo one night. She’s new to the club, but something about her calls to him, and it’s not that she’s apparently a virgin being shopped around by her “owner”. He knows that while she says she’s there of her own free will, she’s being coerced to perform, and he intends to find out why. But if she thinks he’ll open up to her the way she does with him, she’s sadly mistaken; his secret remains locked up tight right until the end.
Sex is a drug and I’m possibly a sex addict, but it does wonders at keeping my misery at bay.
WICKED RIDE is book four in the Wicked Horse series and I’m sad to say it wasn’t a favourite. While the sex between Logan and Auralie was hot, there’s not much kink between them, at least that I can remember. We’ve seen Logan partake in a M/M/F session, so it was disappointing to see him have fairly vanilla sex with Auralie the entire way through. There’s not even much time spent at the club as they spend most of the book in their own little bubble…dating. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just not what I expect to read when I’m reading a series about a sex club where anything sexual is up for grabs. It’s also an insta-love, with most of the story taking place in the span of a few days. WICKED RIDE is told in dual POVs, with the epilogue being told in Bridger’s, where we get a glimpse into his past and how his story will begin. It sounds like it’s going to be rough, intense, emotional and heartbreaking. Good thing I have time to prepare myself. I can’t wait.
