Review

NEED YOU is the first book from Stacy Finz I’ve read, and I found it to be quite enjoyable.

I liked Colt and Delaney, but of the two, I liked Delaney more. They’ve both been hurt and betrayed by their exes, but while Delaney still has faith in love and is willing to try a new relationship, Colt is the opposite. He would be a dick to Delaney any time his feelings were too close to the surface, and he kept comparing her to his ex, which is so wrong because they were nothing alike. But I really liked that Delaney stood up for herself when he would do this, pointing out that he was unfair and insulting. You go girl!

The only part of the story that irked me was when the author dragged out the reasons why their previous relationships ended. We only find out what Colt’s and Delaney’s exes did at the 74% and 81% mark respectively. Up to that point, both events were alluded to several times each, which got real old, real fast, and I am not a fan when an author does this.

NEED YOU is told in dual POVs and is the first book in The Garner Brothers series; a series that I assume will include at least three books. Colt has three younger brothers (TJ, Josh and Win), but Josh is already married, so unless something drastic happens, I don’t see him getting his own story. I liked the residents of Glory Junction, and I would gladly read the next book in the series.
