Synopsis

I’ve hated him since middle school.

The effortlessly popular, lacrosse superstar, beautiful, blue-eyed nightmare Emerson Sawyer. Funny thing is, he didn’t even know I existed until our senior year, when his mom started hooking up with my dad.

Now he torments me in the hallways, calling me “Sis” whenever he gets the chance, relishing in the fact that I can’t hide my blushing whenever he’s around. Even though I can’t stand him, my body betrays me–and he loves it.

Emerson and his mom just moved in with us, and as if crushing on him wasn’t weird enough, now our bedrooms share a wall.

The sexual tension keeps building between us, but I know nothing can ever happen…especially now that our parents are engaged. I try to tell myself that I hate him, that he’s wrong for me, that we’ll never be together…

So why did I agree to play Seven Minutes in Heaven at his girlfriend’s high school party?

And why does Emerson suddenly have my panties in his hands?
Stepbrother Billionaire is a Stand-alone novel. It contains adult themes, harsh language, and graphic sexual content.

My Review

Stepbrother Billionaire  – took my breath away & made my chest hurt, heart ache and put my iPad down and walk away to regroup.  It forced me to take a break as it gripped my chest and squeezed until tears formed in anger, loss, hurt and betrayal.  I then went and put on my big girl panties and picked up that iPad as Emerson and Abby needed me to continue on as they were forced to do.

Firstly don’t let the word Billionaire let you think it is all roses, private jet flights, limousines and bodyguards like in so many other stories with this title.  This is the first that is really all about the question of money and where you stand in life.  In the end Emerson yes makes money and succeeds in his life but there is so much more to read between the lines.  Abby and Emerson’s romance and story is based on one of life’s great challenges of where do you fit in, the haves and have nots, the privileged and those that have to fight for what they truly want and believe they can do.

This love story is basically split into two parts, their lives as teenagers about to finish school when Abby’s dad marries Emerson’s mom and then we are fast forwarded 8 years on – do you miss anything in that time frame I genuinely believe not, we get snippets of their life as adults working towards their dreams.

The scene where I literally could not breathe and had chest palpations was the day of their parents getting married and the next morning.  I swear on my grandmothers grave, I was so fragile from the way the author penned this – just brilliant storytelling.

Some reviewers think this is a sensitive subject, perhaps yes but the way I see it is technically they are not related and I love the Fallen Crest Series by Tijan so I have already popped my cherry so to speak with the fall in love with your hot, muscled, bad boy stepbrother – so bring on more Colleen Masters.

Fair warning too, you do not get too many between the sheets action but when they do the pages burn in your hands with emotion all the way.

If I could give this more than 5 Hearts I would and this is going into my to be read again pile.  Loved, Loved, Loved it.
