Synopsis

Nikolai Vorislav likes his single life just as it is. Simple, relaxing, and quiet. What he doesn’t need is some foul-mouthed Texan hellcat living in his house, eating his food, flirting with his idiot brothers, and shooting holes in his home with his granddaddy’s gun. But those long legs, dark eyes, and lethal tongue are making Nik insane, and he fears that he may be caught in the sexiest animal trap ever.

Angelina Santiago doesn’t know how she got from Texas to North Carolina in a night or how she ended up in some hillbilly tiger’s house wearing only a sheet. What she does know is that she doesn’t like good ol’ boys with slow, sexy drawls who can’t seem to stop rubbing up against her. Yet in order to protect her friends, Angie has to stay with a cat who seems hellbent on finding all sorts of delicious ways to make her purr.

Review

HERE KITTY, KITTY is the third and final book in the Magnus Pack series and follows Angie (Sara’s other crazy best friend) and tiger shifter Nik.

After a hyena attack, Angie is “rescued” by tiger brothers, Bannik and Aleksei, then dropped off at their brother Nik’s house.  Why?  Because Nik and Angie had a moment at the airport and his brothers figured they’d help him out.  Besides, they tossed a coin for her and apparently Nik won.  He arrives home to find a naked Angie in bed and things go downhill from there real fast.

As seems to be the way in all of Shelly’s books, humour plays a big part.  I must say that I love a book that can get me laughing and horny in one sitting.

Angie:  “We’re a ‘we’ now?”
Nik:  “I thought I made that clear the other night when I tied you face down to the bed and fucked ya proper.”

And let’s not forget these gems.

She hadn’t been this angry in a long time.  Not since that judge ordered her to go to anger management.  One little incident with a baseball bat and a guy’s knees and suddenly she’s marked as a raging lunatic.  Typical.

Angie Santiago was one hot piece of ass and all he wanted was to find out if her legs would look any better resting on his shoulders.

Like the previous books, the secondary characters in HERE KITTY, KITTY are so enjoyable to read about.  Nik’s brothers, Ban and Alex, are hilarious together.  When they try to woo Angie – tiger style?  Priceless.  Both men are extremely intelligent, but put them together and they make real bad decisions.  Like “rescuing” an unconscious woman and bringing her across state lines.

My only disappointment is that in introducing Ban and Alek, I got the impression that one or both would get their own book.  Especially when Alek is having some sort of romantic relationship with Zach’s (PACK CHALLENGE) little sister Nessa.  At the end of the book Zach is on the phone to Nessa asking when she’s coming home and she has to face “him” (not Alek) eventually.  Obviously there’s a story there and I’d like to hear about it.  But to date there’s been no mention of Alek and Nessa getting their own book.

So this book marks the end for best friends Sara, Miki and Angie.  All three women have found their alpha males and none of them could be happier.  But don’t get too upset.  Shelly created a spin-off series, the Pride Stories, which at time of this review is up to book 9.  I have read all 9 books and I’m about to start reading them all over again.  Happy times are ahead.
